Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Eaglenest Manor in Cowichan felt like stepping into a slice of paradise. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, the charming heritage-style guest house offered breathtaking views of the sea and mountains right from our private balcony. The owner, David, was incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home while keeping a delightful sense of humor-they really do everything to ensure you have a memorable stay. Every morning started beautifully with a delicious breakfast featuring delectable pastries and fresh berries, which far exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the added touches such as the warm stone fireplace in our room, which was perfect for cozying up on those chilly coastal mornings. To top off our evenings, we enjoyed a glass of Cowichan Valley wine on the deck while soaking in the stunning sunsets. The well-maintained interiors and the added luxury of a billiards room were a lovely touch for our group, making for some delightful evenings together. Eaglenest is a gem; I can't wait to return. If you're seeking a romantic retreat or a trip with friends, this place has a perfect blend of tranquility, elegance, and a hint of fun-you won't want to leave!
